How can we help?
Quick answers to the questions people ask most. Still stuck? Email hello@applymark.io and we'll get back to you.
Getting started
What should I do first?
Sign in, then follow the step-by-step guide on your Jobs page: add your resume, find jobs that fit, answer the usual application questions once, add a few jobs to your apply queue, then let Autopilot apply. It takes about 10 minutes.
How do I sign in? There's no password.
Enter your email on the sign-in page and we'll email you a button and a 6-digit code. Click the button (it works on any device), or type the code on the sign-in page. Want to skip the email next time? Set a password in Settings and use "Sign in with password".
I didn't get the sign-in email.
Check your Spam or Promotions folder for an email from Applymark (hello@applymark.io). Links only work once, and only the newest one works, so use the latest email. You can request a new one after a minute.
How are jobs matched to me?
Applymark reads your resume, picks the roles your experience points to, pulls live listings from the last few weeks for the location you choose (and remote, if you like), and scores each one from 0 to 100 with the reason it fits. Use the filters to narrow by work setup, job type, level, salary and date posted.
Autopilot (auto-apply)
How do I install Autopilot?
Autopilot is a free Chrome extension. Follow the steps on the Get Autopilot page, then open My applications and click Connect Autopilot. It works in Chrome and Microsoft Edge on a computer.
Can I use it on my phone?
You can find jobs, tailor your resume and add jobs to your apply queue from your phone. Autopilot itself runs on a computer, so it applies to your queue the next time you press Start there.
What does Autopilot actually do?
When you press Start auto-apply, it opens each job in your apply queue, fills in your name, contact details and answers from your application profile, attaches your resume and cover letter, and submits after a short countdown. Every application shows up in My applications. You can pause, skip a job or stop at any time.
Autopilot paused. What do I do?
Autopilot pauses whenever a site needs you, for example to sign in, create an account, pass a "verify you're human" check, or answer a question it can't answer truthfully from your profile. Look at the banner at the bottom of the page: do what it asks on the page, then click Continue. If you'd rather not apply to that job, click Skip this job.
What does "Needs your attention" mean?
Autopilot couldn't finish that application on its own, usually because the site needed a sign-in, had an unusual form, or asked something only you can answer. Open the job from My applications and finish it yourself. Your tailored resume and cover letter are ready to download there as Word or PDF files. Once it's done, set its status to Applied.
Should I follow up after applying?
Often, yes. A week after you apply, Applymark reminds you in Messages and writes a short, polite follow-up email you can copy and send to the recruiter or hiring manager. You can also keep notes on any application, like a recruiter's name or an interview date, with Add notes in My applications.
Which job sites does it work on?
Most company career pages and common application systems. Sites that make you sign in first (for example some large application portals) will pause so you can sign in yourself. Autopilot never creates accounts or gets around security checks for you.
Can I check an application before it's sent?
Yes. Click the Applymark icon in your browser's toolbar, open Settings, and choose a longer countdown, or turn off Submit automatically so Autopilot fills in each form and waits for you to submit.
It says Autopilot isn't connected.
Open My applications, refresh the page and click Connect Autopilot. Make sure you're signed in to the same Applymark account you want Autopilot to use.
Resume, cover letter and profile
My resume didn't upload.
Upload a PDF, Word (.docx) or .txt file under 4 MB on Resume & cover letter. Older .doc files and scanned images without text can't be read: save as PDF or .docx, or paste your resume as text instead.
Can I download my tailored resume?
Yes. Open a job in My applications (or right after tailoring) and click Download Word or Download PDF. Click See what changed to compare it with your original resume; reworded lines are highlighted.
Will Applymark make things up on my resume?
No. Tailoring only rewords, reorders and highlights what's already in your resume. It never adds jobs, degrees, skills or numbers you don't have. It's still worth a quick read before you apply, since anything sent is sent in your name.
What's the application profile for?
It holds the answers most applications ask for, like contact details, work authorization and salary expectations. You fill it in once on Application profile and Autopilot uses it everywhere. Optional questions (like veteran or disability status) are only used if you answer them.
Plans and billing
What's included in Free and Pro?
Free includes 5 job searches, 3 tailored applications and 3 Autopilot applications a month. Pro is $19/month (or $45 every 3 months) with unlimited Autopilot applications, 200 searches and 150 tailored applications a month. Limits reset on the 1st.
How does the free trial work?
Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card to start it, and it's charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Cancel during the trial and you won't be charged.
How do I cancel?
Go to Settings → Manage billing → Cancel subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to the Free plan.
Can I switch between monthly and 3-month billing, or update my card?
Yes, both are in Settings → Manage billing.
I was charged by mistake.
Email us at hello@applymark.io with the email on your account and we'll look into it.
Your account and privacy
Is my information private?
Your resume and profile are stored in your account and only you can see them. We use them only to find jobs, write your documents and fill in applications you start. We never sell your information. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete account. This cancels any subscription and removes your resume, files, profile and applications.
